City of Wollongong Economic Insight Report - December 2019
The value of building approvals in the December 2019 quarter was up from September ($7.4M, 4.7%) from the previous quarter to $164.6M. It was driven by a growth in the value of Residential Buildings approvals.
However, the value was lower (-21.2%) than that experienced in the same quarter the year before.
Non-residential approvals was led by the Public Sector, mainly by Education buildings.
The majority of non-residential development in the FY to date has been in the Wollongong-East area ($18M)
